Peace Diplomacy House [PDH]


BACKGROUND


The Peace Diplomacy House [PDH] is an initiative of the International Peace Diplomacy Corps, Inc. pursuant to its Charter, Chapter X111 specifically Articles 75 and 76. 


The Peace Diplomacy House [PDH] existence is imperative to a closer understanding and knowledge dissemination based on the good works of the United Nations and its member states in raising awareness to various international issues that resonates interests among global citizens.


OVERVIEW


The Peace Diplomacy House [PDH] (1) is the education and formation arm of the International Peace Diplomacy Corps, Inc., provides the international standard to individuals who wishes to avail theoretical and pragmatic approaches with a diverse range of peace diplomacy educational formations; (2) relies on the expertise of facilitators who demonstrates advanced experience in the practice or profession of peace diplomacy in the international arena; (3) is designed for individuals who are passionate to international affairs, designed for practitioners in governments, international organizations, non-profit organizations, civil society organizations, and the private sector; (4) is established in the great memory of the leadership of the United Nations’ 8th Secretary General H.E. Ban Ki-Moon, an outstanding statesman, led the passage of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in 2015.


PDH devotes on the promotion of the formation of international relations employing peace diplomacy. Depending on the audience, PDH offers a diverse range of mechanisms that advocates contentious diplomatic skills and abilities. Drawing the founding history of the United Nations, Peace Diplomacy House offers: (1) professional programs; (2) facilitation by diplomats and foreign affairs experts; (3) continuing education experience; and, (4) conducive training sites.


METHODOLOGY

The methodology employed in the Peace Diplomacy House [PDH] is based on the experience-sharing and practice oriented carefully customized to strengthen foundations to peace diplomacy in the context of interesting lectures, exciting discussions, short tailored programs and debates on pressing case issues of international interest.

OBJECTIVES


In line with the advocacy of the International Peace Diplomacy Corps, Inc. of promoting peace imperative to the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations, the Peace Diplomacy House [PDH], an initiative subsumed to IPDCI, aims to foster the sense of international sustainable development consciousness among the participants, the men and women of today. Specifically aspires to:


  1. define, assess, identify and appreciate the role and contribution of the United Nations Organization  in the global arena;
  2. evaluate and analyze some global issues of international interest;
  3. describe the impact of peace diplomacy outcomes to some global issues;
  4. understand the dynamics of international relations in the context of diplomacy;
  5. relate with the relevance of peace diplomacy in the current times of today’s history.
