REY RUNTGEN MARTIN L. DEL ROSARIO foreign relations evolved as an international peace diplomacy personality, political scientist, social entrepreneur, and a publicist. He represented the Philippines to various international conventions and important academic gatherings around the corners of the world.
The Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) appointed Del Rosario to represent ASEAN in the 2017 Asia-Euro Policy Fellowship Program. Currently fulfills the duties as a visiting scholar to National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo, Japan [2017-2018]; and L’ École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, France .
He currently focuses on “Combatting Terrorism - Regional Security Relations in ASEAN, Japan, and the European Union in the Global Arena.” This project aspires to provide measures on how to combat terrorism that entails regional security specifically in ASEAN, Japan, and the European Union. With the production of data-based knowledge management, it is important to describe and compare mechanisms pursuant to peace stability within the global arena.
Conceived “Pinoy Leadership Innovation” anchored to Wharton’s School of Business leadership expert Dr. Robert House. Eventually commended by a US Ambassador Harry K. Thomas, Jr., a South African Ambassador Agnes Nyamande-Pitso among others as a published author and writer since 2006.
Championing peace works through cultural diplomacy imperative to the aspirations of the United Nations, Del Rosario strengthen global partnerships as the serving Chairman of the Board of Trustees & Executive Board of the International Peace Diplomacy Corps, Inc. since 2010.
Empowering and mainstreaming modalities of entrepreneurship through innovation among startups and business firms, Del Rosario employed coaching and mentoring being the Chairman of the Board of Trustees & President of the Executive Board of the Philippine Innovation Entrepreneurship Mission, Inc. since 2010.
As an Asia Graduate Student Fellow of the Asia Research Institute at the National University of Singapore in 2014, Del Rosario authored several books published in the Philippines classified as books (softbound), non-books (DVD), e-books (e-pubs) under The National Library of the Philippines- Bibliographic Services Division- ISBN National Center.
In 2007, Del Rosario was a recipient of the Harvard International Relations Council through the 53rd Harvard National Model United Nation and eventually emerged as a volunteer at the World Federations of the UN Youth Associations at the UN Headquarters, New York City. As an exemplary youth leader, he was a delegate to Vienna International United Nations in 2006 at the UN Office at Vienna; Geneva International Model United Nations in 2008 at Palais des Nations further his participation to the Oxford International Model United Nations in 2007, and Hong Kong International Model United Nations in 2004.
Since the age of 18, Del Rosario immersed to various socio-political discourses in the Philippines including his active participation in the Senate Legislative Forum organized by the Office of Senator Ramon Magsaysay Jr. in 2003, and the Office of Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago in 2005 to name a few.
As a candidate of Doctor of Philosophy in Development Studies, obtained MA in Education major in Educational Leadership and Management at De La Salle University- Manila, Del Rosario is a university professor to some universities in Manila both in College and Graduate School since 2009. Some of his scholarly thematic areas include (1) regional security; (2) peace diplomacy and foreign relations; (3) public administration and leadership innovation; (4) foreign trade and investment rubrics; (5) development studies among others. Priory received Professional Diploma in Family Counseling at the Loyola School of Theology- Ateneo de Manila University and AB in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs at De La Salle- College of St. Benilde. As a business consultant since 2006, he is also a Go Negosyo Mentor under the Philippine Trade and Industry Department through its “Go Negosyo” Program.
Del Rosario is a finalist to the 2017 Asia CEO Awards under the category of Young Leader of the Year. He speaks English and Tagalog fluently, a conversant of Spanish and French languages, obtained formal education from Instituto Cervantes en Manila and Alliance Francaise de Manille respectively [2003-2008].
